The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class V12 Edition was presented as the ultimate expression of luxury in automotive engineering, created for the most discerning customers for whom the standard versions of the flagship saloon seem insufficiently exclusive. This model is a modern interpretation of the legendary Maybach Zeppelin cars, which emphasises its special status in the brand's lineup. The basis for this unique offering was the already impeccable Mercedes-Maybach S 680, which received a number of exclusive changes to its exterior, starting with a striking two-tone body colour, visually divided by an elegant silver line, and ending with special forged wheels in a unique olive shade. Emphasising the power of the car's heart, chrome Maybach emblems are placed on the rear pillars of the body, complemented by a gold-plated ‘12’ number, which clearly indicates the presence of the famous twelve-cylinder engine under the bonnet.
The interior of the saloon continues the theme of exceptional luxury and craftsmanship, offering passengers an atmosphere of the highest level of comfort. The interior is finished in rich brown Nappa Manufaktur leather, embellished with exquisite diamond-shaped stitching that blends harmoniously with the glossy brown walnut elements. The centre console features a special ‘1 of 50’ plaque, reminding us of the limited nature of this car's production. The rear console of the interior has been transformed into a work of art thanks to an intricate inlay consisting of twelve gold circles and the Maybach 12 emblem, creating a unique aesthetic effect and emphasising the exclusivity of each of the fifty models produced.
The technical basis for this ultra-luxurious saloon is a six-litre V12 engine with twin turbochargers, delivering an impressive 603 horsepower and 900 Newton metres of torque. The power unit is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, which provides incredibly smooth and fast gear changes, as well as a standard all-wheel drive system, which guarantees confident handling on any road surface and in all weather conditions. The dynamic characteristics of the limited-edition Maybach are fully in line with its high status, as the heavy saloon accelerates from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in just 4.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 kilometres per hour to comply with European standards.
Production of the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class V12 Edition will be strictly limited to just fifty units, making it not only a luxury item but also a potential collector's item. According to the manufacturer, deliveries of the first cars to their new owners will begin next month, which means that the entire production run will disappear from the market almost instantly. Such limited production is a logical step for the Maybach division, which strives to maintain the highest level of exclusivity for its products, offering customers not just a car, but a unique asset that embodies the pinnacle of modern technology, impeccable design and handcrafted craftsmanship.
