Spy photographers have captured the first-ever prototype of Bentley's all-electric car on public roads, stripped of its camouflage and revealing the final production body. The long-awaited new model, which the manufacturer tentatively announced for 2026, appears to be a large crossover whose dimensions and proportions suggest its placement in the lineup below the currently dominant Bentayga. This positioning is strategically important for the brand, which seeks to win over a new audience while maintaining its inherent attributes of luxury and high status, which are clearly evident even in the car's carefully camouflaged state.
Despite the protective film, the electric car's exterior reveals signature styling cues inherited from the EXP 100 GT concept car and the more recent EXP 15 concept. A powerful front end with a pronounced square nose and a completely flat hood is a hallmark of the brand's modern models. The roofline slopes noticeably past the B-pillar, lending the massive body a dynamic and sporty silhouette. The integrated spoiler, partially covering the rear window, and wide wheel arches, accentuating the car's generous track, draw attention. The absence of overt grille-like trim elements on the prototype clearly demonstrates its all-electric nature.
The technical foundation for Bentley's first electric vehicle will be the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), developed jointly by Volkswagen Group and Porsche engineers. This architecture is already used on models such as the electric Cayenne, with which the new model will share significant technology. The manufacturer is keeping official powertrain specifications under wraps for now, but according to inside sources familiar with the project, the electric car will be capable of producing approximately 630 horsepower. The range on a single battery charge is estimated to be at least 600 kilometers, thanks to a modern battery pack with a capacity of approximately 108 kilowatt-hours, which provides a reasonable balance between performance and range.
As for the car's interior, spies were unable to obtain images, as the cabin was carefully concealed from prying eyes. It's safe to assume that it will be crafted in the brand's finest traditions, using the most luxurious and eco-friendly materials, such as open-grain wood, vegetable-tanned leather, and recycled aluminum, and will also feature a front-mounted digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system. The official unveiling of the production version of Bentley's electric crossover is expected to take place in 2026, with the first customers expected to receive their cars in early 2027, marking a new era for the renowned British manufacturer as it confidently enters the era of e-mobility.
