A new player has emerged on the Ukrainian automotive market, one that could significantly change the balance of power in the hybrid vehicle segment: the Jetour T1 i-DM. This full-size crossover, nearly five meters long, offers a harmonious blend of impressive dimensions, modern powertrain solutions, and a reasonable price, making it extremely attractive to families who value comfort and efficiency. Under the hood, the new model boasts an advanced hybrid system combining a turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor and a capacious battery, enabling a range of up to one hundred and seventeen kilometers (117 kilometers) on electric power alone, without consuming a drop of expensive fuel.
This range is more than enough for most everyday tasks for the typical city dweller, whether commuting to work, visiting the supermarket, or picking up children from school. This effectively allows the car to be used as a pure electric vehicle, provided it can be regularly recharged from a home or office power source. For longer journeys or when the battery is low, a hybrid mode is available, achieving average fuel consumption of no more than seven liters per hundred kilometers (100 km), an outstanding figure for such a large vehicle. Recharging is quick thanks to fast charging, which can increase the battery charge from 30 to 80 percent in just half an hour.
In addition to its impressive powertrain, the Jetour T1 i-DM boasts a spacious interior designed to comfortably accommodate five adults and a comprehensive suite of electronic driver assistance systems previously considered the preserve of significantly more expensive premium brands. Standard features include intelligent cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and collision warning technologies, providing the highest level of safety and comfort for the driver in both city traffic and on the highway. The 160-millimeter ground clearance easily handles the unevenness of Ukrainian roads, although the vehicle's design does not allow for true off-roading.
Authorized dealers have already opened pre-orders for the new model, with first deliveries expected next fall. The base Prestige trim is priced at 1,630,000 hryvnias, with a special matte paint finish costing an additional 30,000. The manufacturer backs up confidence in its product with a robust 72-month or 200,000-kilometer warranty. The long-term reliability of Chinese assembly and electronic components remains a key concern for many potential owners, but on paper, the Jetour T1 i-DM appears to be an extremely compelling proposition, challenging the traditional standards of price, technology, and fuel efficiency in the automotive world.
