Toyota Corporation has shown the world an exclusive special version of its legendary Land Cruiser SUV, created in honor of the model's latest victory in the prestigious Dakar rally raid. The new model received an interesting name, Rally Raid, and was developed by engineers from the Toyota Auto Body subsidiary based on the GR Sport modification. The peculiarity of this car is not only its unique equipment, but also its strictly limited edition of only twelve copies, which makes it extremely rare and valuable for true collectors and loyal fans of the brand. Visually, the car was supplemented with a number of elements that emphasize its sporty and extreme character. Among the most noticeable changes, it is worth highlighting the presence of special eighteen-inch alloy wheels from the manufacturer Enkei, model PDT1, which were equipped with powerful Toyo Open Country tires, providing maximum traction on any type of surface. Additional aggression is given to the exterior by the bright red brake calipers, as well as functional towing hooks, made in the same color scheme. The appearance is completed by special breezkovki and a unique graphic film with the abbreviation TLC, which is applied to the car body.
The interior space of the cabin has also received significant changes aimed at increasing comfort and safety under high dynamic loads. New seats with significantly increased lateral support were installed, which is extremely important for overcoming difficult off-road sections at high speed. Their upholstery is made of high-quality black leather, which is harmoniously combined with trim elements made of Ultrasuede artificial suede in a rich red color. The headrests of the front seats are traditionally embroidered with the symbols of the Gazoo Racing division, and a special plate with the name of the version and a graphic image of the car itself is placed on the center console.
As for the technical component, here the engineers have modified the suspension, installing more durable and reliable springs and shock absorbers capable of withstanding extreme loads in long-term competitions. The power plant remains standard for this line and is a three-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, producing three hundred and four horsepower and seven hundred Newton meters of torque. The unit works in tandem with a ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which guarantees outstanding performance in any situation. This special version can be purchased exclusively on the Japanese market at a price of nine million three hundred eighty thousand eight hundred yen.
